Stairway To Heaven

PLEASE NOTE: i-shot has evolved! This is the old version of my photoblog - it now lives over at myglasseye.net. Thank you for visiting me at i-shot, but please bookmark the new site and let me know what you think! Many thanks, Owen...

Here's an example of when a tripod would be good! I don't really mind the railings being out of focus but I think the shot would be infinitely better if they were sharp. That would have required a much higher f-number, which would have meant a longer shutter speed, and hence camera shake... Never mind! I like how the clouds step up between the bars, hence the title.

Also, I've been using Nikon Capture to send these images over to Photoshop (so I can bypass Adobe Camera Raw which doesn't like IR white balances) but doing so seems to strip the ISO information from the EXIF in much the same way that shooting in JPEG hides it. As it happens I know that all my IR shots were at ISO 200.

All this technical mumbo jumbo really gets in the way of enjoying the shots though!
