Girders and Pillars

PLEASE NOTE: i-shot has evolved! This is the old version of my photoblog - it now lives over at myglasseye.net. Thank you for visiting me at i-shot, but please bookmark the new site and let me know what you think! Many thanks, Owen...

On Bank Holiday Monday I found the shopping centre carpark completely deserted so took a few IR shots to see how they'd turn out compared to B&Ws of regular colour versions. I preferred the IR, even though the long exposure threatens to blow out the sunlight streaming in through the 'windows' around the sides of the building. I think it lends a certain Speilbergness to the shot (he loves his bright light!) but still need to remember to expose for the light and then do some blending of exposures later. Which I didn't do here... I like deserted car parks so there's a few more of these to come.
