On our first full day in Venice we walked for a LONG time. In fact we didn't get a vaporetto at all until the second day. It's just beautiful, everywhere, especially the areas where the tourists tend not to congregate. I took well over 200 photos, but only about 180 of them came back with me (memory card was getting full!).

Despite my opinion that the pigeons in Venice are a menace both to the city and to the health of those fools who encourage them to land on their heads/arms/hands etc, they're in some of my favourite shots. I make no apologies for the lack of originality in any Venice shots posted...
