Occasionally we get a few minutes break on the show I'm working on, and most of the crew go outside to get some fresh air. Today I popped next door into Studio B and got a few shots of the other crew rehearsing their show. This is Dave, operating a camera called a Vinten Merlin, which could be considered a predecessor to the Jimmy Jib. The camera is on one end of an arm, the controls on the other along with the viewfinder, which is on a vertical-swinging pivot so that when you tilt the arm up and down the viewfinder tilts to keep pointing at you. However, it's usually still above your eyeline, as it is here.

And today's title? Dave's an Australian... ;)
