Take Cover

PLEASE NOTE: i-shot has evolved! This is the old version of my photoblog - it now lives over at myglasseye.net. Thank you for visiting me at i-shot, but please bookmark the new site and let me know what you think! Many thanks, Owen...

This was a much wider shot with all the brick work in but I've cropped it down to just this hole in the wall. It was pouring with rain and this couple had taken refuge in a walkway underneath the Kingston bridge. The colouring is with a cross-processing Curve that I've been using a lot lately.

UPDATE: a couple of viewers are upset about the distortion on the woman's shirt on the left. It has a name, but I can't recall what it is. When I processed the image the distortion was not visible as I was working with a larger version of the image. When I compress for the web I change the image size and that introduced the distortion. I will look at uploading a new version that is bigger, to lose it. I should point out that when printed the distortion is not there, as it purely an artifact of monitors not being able to handle the detail...
